ZB Series

Warranty

Description

Design and functionality

For (pregnant) sows, it is important that feeding and feed distribution are coordinated. The VERBA ZB sow feeder offers a simple and effective solution for ad-lib feeding of 10 to 12 sows in group housing. This sow feeder provides the sows with fresh feed that is easily accessible and optimally dosed. Moreover, it is done at relatively low investment cost, making it a cost-effective choice for sow farmers.

Quiet eating behavior and precise adjustment

The sophisticated VERBA dosing valve ensures that the sows exhibit a calm feeding behavior. This limits them better than with a traditional sow dry feeder. In case of larger groups of sows, several ZB sow feeders can be used. This sow feeder has a very precise adjustment so that the sows do not overeat and have to eat calmly. This adjustment is also very suitable for daily rationing.

Hygiene and maintenance

The raised trough ensures that the sows can easily access the feed and that no feed residue is left behind. This keeps the trough clean and hygienic. Combined with the DRN 4 stainless steel trough, this is the ideal solution for group housing of sows with ad-lib feed. We recommend mounting the sow troughs (preferably a DRN 4) at least 1 meter away from the ZB sow feeder. Mounting further away is also not a problem.

Optional water line and different models

Optionally, we can also install a water line with drinking nipple, which turns the ZB sow feeder into a liquid feeder. The ZB models are particularly suitable for pellet feed and crumb feed. For finer feed, such as meal, the ZBC models are ideal. A lower trough is available for rearing gilts, which is incorporated into two lower models of feeders.

Durability and sturdiness

The additional stainless steel omega profiles on the side make the VERBA ZB sow feeder for sows enormously strong. Standard features include a converted stainless steel corner on the front, which allows the sow feeder to be mounted firmly to the floor. At the back wall, the sow feeder should also be securely mounted, contributing to overall stability and durability.
